Hi

My name is Jenny James.   My husband Ian James was born in Dinas Powis and lived in Highwalls Avenue all his life.  His mum and dad were Helen and Les James and Ian has two brothers Tommy and Keith and two sisters Mary and Pat .He was involved with Dinas Powis Football Club originally as a player, then Captain and eventually presented with a Life Long Achievement  Award just before we emigrated to Australia in 1981.  I worked for John Loosemore who was a solciitor who lived on the Common  as his personal secretary for 11 eleven years  .  After Ian and I were married we lived in Fairoaks and eventually moved to Sunnycoft Lane.  We have three children, Andrew , Paul and Richard who have all done amazing well in Australia.   Andrew is a barrister, Paul a sergeant in the Police Force and Richard works within the insurance industry.  All are maried and have children of their own.   Ian and I are the only  "lucky" ones that have kept our Welsh accent. We have visited  Dinas Powis on three separate occasions since emigrating and are actualy flying back to spend Christmas in the UK with relatives and catch up with old friends.   Dinas Powis will always have a special place in our hearts and once we revisit Dinas  it always seems as if we have  never been away.  As mentioned we live in Queensland, Australia.  Hope to catch up with old friends some day.  Warm wishes The James Family
