a friend of mine had a nasty accident on their push bike tonight...
he and 2 of his friends were riding down britway road, past the square heading down to elm grove road and a car pulled out of the junction by the natwest bank.
he hit the side of the car and flew right over it. he was ok but clearly shaken. luckily he had the right gear on. could have been a lot worse...that junction is so dangerous.
police were called. fair play, they arrived in numbers and did a proper job.
by that time the driver of the car was long gone and the cyclist got breathalised.
i suppose the "moral of the story" for me is that everyone knows there are some really really nasty roads/junctions in DP that need to be looked at by planners but yet i fear things will only happen when lives are already lost.
like the road narrowings outside the church...
i thought you could get a degree in this?
